Client
East London Brewing Co.

The brief was to retain the roundel from the client’s existing identity, but make the company name (and therefore the location) more prominent from the previous ‘ELB’. The client wanted to respond to the industrial past of their location in East London, as well as promote their ethos of supporting local independent businesses.

I collaborated with the London Centre for Book Arts – a community letterpress and bookbinding workshop, based in Fish Island – to print the text using wood type, which I then translated into digital assets.

The business stationery was printed and foiled by Baddely Brothers, a specialist printing firm established in East London in 1859.
